The Sandhills Medical Foundation (SMF) is a community health center serving residents of Chesterfield, Kershaw and Lancaster County. As a community health center, its mission is to make primary medical care accessible to all people within the community. Accordingly, we accept most insurance including Medicare and Medicaid. It is a locally owned not for profit corporation, whose board Members come from the communities it serves.
Beginning in 1977, Sandhills Medical Foundation has provided high quality primary medical care. Its physicians are Board Certified.
We not only strive to make primary medical care available in our communities, we also look at the health problems of the community as a whole. Toward that end, we have targeted diabetes and mental health.
